We welcome your membership in Temple Shalom and hope you will enjoy participating in our services, events and special interest clubs.
Full membership is the most sincere and fulfilling way to be a member of the Temple Shalom family.
In addition to being a part of all Temple activities, paid membership includes seating for all High Holy Day services.

Annual Membership begins on January 1 of each year.
First-time members who join during the year are pro-rated for the remaining months of that year. (No charge for dependents under the age of 21 living in the same household.)
Credit Cards Now Accepted Effective immediately Temple Shalom is now accepting Master Card and Visa for all payments of dues, building fund, donations and all Temple social events. Please note that payment for Brotherhood and Sisterhood dues and events cannot be paid by credit cards through the Temple office. We are now taking credit card payments over the phone or via U.S. mail or email. Many folks have requested that we look into the credit card method of payment and after the Temple Board’s approval we have that capability for Master Card and Visa. Click on the appropriate form below to open the document, print a hard copy, fill it in and then mail it to Temple Shalom, Att: John Sears, 13563 County Road 101, Oxford, FL 34484. Or, you can drop it off at the Temple office if you are in the area.

Individual: $300 l Couple: $600

What to Wear
Appropriate dress for a house of worship similar to what is also called business casual. Formal dress is not required except for High Holy Days or other special occasions.
Where to Park
We have a large parking area on the Temple grounds that is accessible by car and golf cart.
Buddy Systems
The NJC/Temple Shalom "BUDDY" system is one of our most important links in building our membership.
When a guest comes to our services for the first time and feels the warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere created by our Buddies -- as well as from the rest of the congregation -- their membership is not far off.
Here's what being a Buddy requires...
- Arriving at services early, about 6:50 pm
- WAITING in the LOBBY till a guest is assigned to you...(it is difficult for the greeter to go looking for the Buddy)
- Sit with the guest during services
- Stay with them during the Oneg (This is really important because people tend to get "lost in the crowd")
- Introduce them to others
- Perhaps invite them to join you at the next function
To volunteer as a Buddy, send an email to the Temple office, and, put Volunteering as New Member Buddy in the subject line of your email. John Sears, our Temple office manager, will forward your email to the appropriate person.
We are calling out to you to volunteer your services as a Buddy.
You will get a wonderful feeling of satisfaction when your 'Buddy' joins our growing "family".
Meeting at a Long Standing Members Home for New Members
New members are welcomed to meet other new members and get to know each other at a long existing members house during an early evening coffee, wine, cheese and pastry get together.
Wine and Cheese New Member Party
The Temple periodically hosts a new member wine and cheese party in the Oneg area, to allow new members to get to know each other. Webmaster R Fishman
